Versailles means field burnt for agriculture in old French. Palace Versailles was used as not as palace but also symbol of royal family’s power and wealth from 1682 to 1789. After Louis the 13th died Louis the 14th who became a king at the age of 5 and finish building with spending 21 years. Louis the 14th who married with Marie-Antoinette leaves the palace in the age of revolution occurs in 1770. In 1837 last king Louis Philippe decided to maintain it as a museum. And registered as a world heritage in 1979.
